Zhang Lexing
China
is an independent curator based between Mexico City and Paris working at the intersection of contemporary art and design. She has been curating international exhibitions, in both an independent and institutional capacity, for numerous galleries and organizations. Since October 2010, she has been the driving force behind ART LEXÏNG, a creative agency and gallery space founded in Miami, Florida. Working with local community leaders and serving as an executive committee member at various museums cultural institutions (e.g. the Museum of Contemporary Art, Miami City Ballet, etc.), Zhang endeavors to introduce the city’s burgeoning arts scene to young, and often overlooked, artists from her homeland and beyond. Zhang’s notable recent exhibitions include Sphere by Elvin Nabizade Azerbaijan Cultural Center in Paris, 2019; Threads of Splendor Mexico City Design Week 2019; Scheherazade - a global design tale at H.N.LIN Design Center Shanghai, 2020; Dadedel by Reza Shafahi solo exhibition at Obsidian Gallery, Brussels 2020.
